An Account of the Last Judgment and the Babylon Destroyed
Emanuel Swedenborg
1864
The Swedenborg Society
8vo
Description:
Rare. The Swedenborg Society’s edition of 1864 of Emanuel Swedenborg’s An Account of the Last Judgment and the Babylon Destroyed. One of the short theological works Swedenborg published in 1758, it sets out what is perhaps the most distinctive claim of his theology: that the Last Judgment foretold in the Book of Revelation has already taken place, not on earth but in the spiritual world, where he says he witnessed it in 1757. Very interesting read.
Condition:
Good Condition. Dark debossed cloth with gilt titles to spine. Binding is firm and contents are clean. Boards have light edge-wear with some minor fraying to edges. Split along spine head and upper board joint (approx 1 inch).
