Conjectures and Refutations, Karl Popper, 1963, [First Edition]

£20.00

Conjectures and Refutations is one of Popper's most important works, and a key text in 20th-century philosophy of science. It develops and applies his philosophy of critical rationalism—the idea that knowledge grows not by accumulating verified truths, but through a cycle of bold hypotheses and rigorous criticism.

Good / Fair Condition. Dark cloth with gilt titles to spine. Binding is firm and pages are clean. Light tape marks to front free end paper and rear end paper. Ex libris plate front free end paper of "Peter and Rachel Giblin" who was a professor of mathematics at the University of Liverpool. Boards have notable tanning as pictured and a small red smudge to spine head.
