The London Building Acts 1894 and 1898, the official text of the legislation governing building in the capital, issued by the London County Council and published in London by P.S. King and Son in 1901. The London Building Act of 1894 consolidated the long-tangled body of Metropolitan Building Acts and came into force on 1 January 1895. An amending Act followed in 1898. Together they regulated the laying out and widening of streets, building lines, the height and construction of buildings, including walls, party walls, roofs, chimneys and staircases, the rights of building owners and adjoining owners, dangerous structures, noxious trades and sky signs.
Condition:
Good Condition. Black cloth with gilt titles to upper board. Contents are clean. Binding is firm. Front end paper is slightly loose. Previous owner inscription inside front cover. Boards have light wear. Small mark to upper board.
