Fearon was sent to North America in 1817 to see if it was suitable for immigration. For his own reasons he presents America in a mostly unfavourable light, however he is good on detailed expenses and opportunities to make a living out there. Ex libris plate of George Frederick Dickson, a business man who moved to Argentina in 1807 but returned to England in 1821.
Condition:
Good Condition. Half bound in brown calf with marble paper covered boards. Binding is firm and contents are lightly spotted and tanned. Exlibris plate to front pastedown. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping and peeling to leather edges. Splitting to spine and front board joint with notable peeling and some loss to spine head.
