This work compiles a collection of nautical yarns, sea stories, and humorous sketches reflecting nineteenth-century maritime life and folklore. With some fantastic illustrated plates by Robert Cruikshank.
Condition:
Good Condition. Half bound in dark leather with marble paper covered boards. No gilt titles to spine. Suspected early 20th century binding. Binding is firm and contents clean. Plates are notably spotted as is common with mid 19th century illustrated plates. Boards have some moderate edge-wear with some bumping and peeling to edges.
