A rare anti-drinking moral tale issued by the Sunday School Union to deter young readers away from a life of alcohol. The Temperance movement produced a fair amount of cautionary literature and there is very little trace of this particular title and very few institutional holdings.

Good Condition. Pictorial cloth. Binding is firm. Contents lightly tanned. Off-setting to end papers. Pen inscription to front end paper. Boards are good with rubbing to bottom edges. Fraying to spine ends.
