Contains 68 full-page colour plates, each with its original captioned tissue guard, along with a fold-out map at the rear. The work is divided into three sections: the first devoted to British New Guinea, the second to the Solomon Islands, and the third to the New Hebrides. Illustrated by the painter Norman Heywood Hardy, with accompanying text by E. Way Elkington.

Good Condition. Pictorial green cloth with decoration to front board and spine. All plates present. Plate facing page 156 is slightly loose, otherwise binding is firm. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed. Small scuff to front pastedown. Boards are good with light edge-wear, small blue marking to spine tail. Light dark marking to rear board.
