This is a rare collection of Icelandic folk stories translated from the original Icelandic by Eiríkur Magnússon and William Morris. Magnusson, who taught Morris Icelandic, inspired him to publish his translations of 'The Saga of Gunnlaug Worm-Tongue' and 'Grettis Saga'. This volume includes six tales, featuring stories such as 'The Tale of Frithiof the Bold', 'The Tale of Viglund the Fair', 'The Tale of Roi the Fool' and 'The Tale of  Thorstein Staff-Smitten'.

Fair Condition. Blue Cloth with faded lettering plate to spine. Very light pen mark to front free end paper. Rear hinge is slightly cracked but board is firm. Binding is firm and pages are clean with minor foxing to edges. Boards have notable wear with splits to spine and heavy bumping to corners. Spine has clear fraying to spine ends.General markings to boards.
