11th and last Shakespeare company printing of Joyce's magnun opus, Ulysses, maintaining the iconic blue paper styling of Sylvia Beach's legendary first edition print run during a period when the book remained banned in Britain and the United States. It was not legally circulated in the UK until 1936 published by The Bodley Head. Copies retaining the original blue wraps of Shakespeare & co are exceedingly rare most early printings of Ulysses are rebound in later boards. A truly authentic copy.
Condition:
Good condition. Blue paper covers with white lettering to covers. Book is free of any previous owner inscriptions. Binding is firm. Pages are tanned to edges. Curling and dog-earring to text block edge. Covers have some loss to edges with tearing and chipping. Light loss to spine ends. Notable loss to rear cover bottom corner. Creasing to edges.
