Visions Of Kerouac: Cokefish on the Road wth Moody Street Irregulars. No27 1992

£45.00

Moody Street Irregulars was an American periodical devoted to Jack Kerouac’s life, legacy, and the wider cultural impact of the Beat Generation, as well as an attempt by editors Joy Walsh and Ana Pine to keep the aesthetics and sensibilities of the Beat movement alive. It ran from 1978 until 1992. In this edition there are various poems submitted to the magazine concerning the character of Kerouac, the Beat scene, and the post-Beat era. Cult-like publications such as this no doubt characterised and preserved the mythological presence of Kerouac. One of the notable poets included in this anthology is Tom Clark, known for his biographies of Beat writers like Kerouac.

A genuinely scarce and heartfelt anthology of independent poets eulogising the god of their idolatry, Kerouac. Illustrated.

Very Good condition. Paper covers with staple binding. Binding is firm. Pages are lightly tanned and foxed. Covers are good with light tanning and foxing to edges. Slight scuffing to corners and edges.
